Nu Know is excited to announce the upcoming Parent-Teen Summit 2026, a one-day in-person event designed to bring parents, carers, adolescents, researchers and practitioners together to learn about how adolescence is evolving in our ever-changing society.

The Parent-Teen Summit 2026 will provide parents, their adolescent children, and practitioners in the field with information and practical tools to help with navigating adolescence. This summit especially aims to empower parents, carers and young people with accurate research-backed information.
Through keynote talks, workshops, panels, and research lightning talks, this summit will explore several aspects of adolescence in the UK context, including (but not limited to):

We welcome proposals from practitioners, professionals, academics and researchers with expertise in adolescence, parenting, education, mental health, youth services, or related fields. We particularly welcome proposals from speakers of diverse backgrounds and experiences, to ensure a wide range of voices and perspectives are represented.
Yes! Please submit multiple application forms if you wish to be considered for different sessions.
Panel sessions are designed for multi-voice discussions on a single topic.
A moderator will guide the discussion to ensure all panelists can contribute and that the conversation stays engaging for attendees. Depending on who applies, we will confirm panel topics to reflect the expertise and interests of the selected panelists.
Yes! We welcome co-presenters or group submissions for workshops, keynotes and research talks. Please mention the names and roles of any co-presenters who will be joining you. Your 'about you/bio' response should be reflective of your whole group. This helps us understand the team’s expertise while keeping the submission process simple.
No, you do not need a university affiliation. We welcome submissions from practitioners, professionals, and researchers with relevant experience or expertise, regardless of institutional affiliation.
As with most conferences, speaking at the Parent-Teen Summit 2026 is a voluntary opportunity.
If you are affiliated with a university we highly recommend that you seek public engagement or conference attendance funding from your university to support your attendance.
If you are not affiliated with a university we may be able to assist you with reasonable travel expenses for those based outside London (Zones 1-9). Further information about travel will be shared with selected speakers ahead of time.
All applicants will be notified after the submission deadline. If shortlisted, you may be contacted for an interview before final selections are confirmed, but this will only be if we receive too many submissions on the same topic.
Our team at Nu Know will provide guidance leading up to the event, including scheduling, session format details, and tips for engaging your audience. We are also available to answer questions and provide advice to ensure your presentation runs smoothly.
Yes! Speakers are welcome to use PowerPoint slides, videos, or other visual aids to support their presentation. Please ensure any materials are appropriate for a general audience of parents, carers, and teens, and that they are clear and accessible.
Sessions at the Parent-Teen Summit 2026 are designed primarily for parents and carers and young people aged 10-19-year-olds. When preparing your talk, aim to make your content practical, engaging, and relevant to the general public. For example if presenting research, rather than talking about p-values explain the findings in accessible terms.
